Originating from the musical scene of Trondheim, Norway, Transcending Into the Unknown (TITU) is a group that flourishes on contrasts, innovation, and genre-blending pieces. Established in 2023, this family-oriented initiative includes Filip Dahl, his son Stian Dahl, and his brother Robert “pzyroks” Dahl, with each contributing diverse influences that form their distinctive sonic character. Although their influences include blues, punk, neoclassical death metal, and melodic prog-rock, their collaboration has produced a sound that is simultaneously unpredictable and unified.
The project first received attention with their self-titled debut single, ‘Transcending Into the Unknown’, which was released in April 2023 and received critical praise. Nevertheless, it was not until September 2024 that the band’s sound spectrum grew further by incorporating vocalist Eva Halsetrønning Rambraut. Her delicate, shimmering voice created a striking yet enchanting contrast to Robert’s growl and Filip’s more traditional vocal style, granting TITU a distinct identity.
